Digital attendance & technical requirements

Despite the ongoing pandemic we want as many people as possible to be able to participate in the 6th International Conference of Women's Museums, therefore the conference is a hybrid event, both in person and online tickets are available. Do you want to join the conference virtually? Here you will gain more information on the equipment you will need.

Install the Zoom app

Please use the Zoom app for your computer, Mac, tablet or mobile phone. You can download it for PC and Mac here: zoom.us/download

"Download and install Zoom for meetings."

Zoom update

Please make sure that you have the latest version of your Zoom software. On the app interface, click the icon in the top right corner. There you will see the note: "Check for updates." The latest version of Zoom can then be downloaded.

Questions in the chat feature

Ask your questions about the lectures in the chat feature. You can find the chat on the control bar in the right hand section. The chat window then opens on the right or as a pop-up. To send a message, please press the Enter key.

Use a headset

Use a headset if possible. With a headset, it's easier to focus on content and less distracted from your surroundings. A boom microphone enables the best possible clarity when speaking.

Netiquette

Please note the following rules to be able to enjoy a friendly online event:

  • Please remain on mute to avoid background noise

  • Do not start any unnecessary functions in Zoom

  • Sit in front of a light source, make sure that none is behind you, otherwise your facial expressions will not be recognisable

  • Follow the call to get into the breakout sessions. Each keynote speech is followed by a short exchange in a separate room.

  • Enjoy yourself ;-)
